Join me for my all-inclusive art workshops! All materials and lunch are included for each workshop, with a discount option if you provide your art supplies or a student referral. See details below. This is a “no judgement” space where you can try something new and have fun while learning some basic art skills. These workshops are for ALL LEVELS from beginner to anyone who wants a refresher on color, value, or composition. We’ll work together to simplify aspects of the Boston School tradition of drawing and painting through instructor demonstrations, direct observation, and learning to see like an artist. Minimum age is 13 years.

The focus of this workshop is gaining an understanding of what are the most important elements of the overall the composition. Learn how to see and paint the greatest shapes, greatest proportions, and leading light effects first. Painting from life and/or master paintings you will learn to paint a "start" focusing on the most important parts to create a foundation ready for refinement. Small class size ensures personal attention is given to each student.

Seeing and establishing the foundation of values in a composition is the focus of this workshop. You will learn how to observe, mix and adjust values efficiently during the painting process. Painting from life and/or master paintings, you will learn to see the major value shapes in the painting as a whole and how they relate to each other. Learn from instructor demonstrations throughout the workshop. Small class size ensures personal attention given to each student.
